English is an international language. It is used for communicating with people of different countries and different languages of the world. It is also used in every sphere of life worldwide. Now the world is a global village. Different nations have come closer to one another, and they want to communicate with one another. For this Communication, a common language is a must. And English has become the dominant language. People all over the world use English as a medium of communication. Therefore, to keep pace with the advancement of civilization and maintain international relationships, everybody should learn English. At present, many organizations want employees who have a good knowledge of English. So, to get a good job, knowledge of English is necessary. Nowadays, many people believe that English will help them get a good job and better salaries. Besides, without learning English, no one can go abroad. Not only this, but most of the books on higher education are written in English. So, to acquire higher education, get a good job, and even visit a foreign country, English is obligatory. However, all should learn English for their own betterment. And, to learn English, first, one should learn English grammar and memorize English vocabulary. Without learning grammatical rules and vocabulary, no one can write and speak English correctly and fluently. Besides, importance should be given to the four skills of communicative English, such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing, to learn English. Above all, everyone should give importance to learning English for their own interest.

ইংরেজি একটি আন্তর্জাতিক ভাষা। এটি বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন ভাষার সাথে বিভিন্ন দেশের মানুষের যোগাযোগের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি জীবনের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে বিশ্বব্যাপী ব্যবহৃত হয়। পৃথিবী এখন গ্লোবাল ভিলেজ। বিভিন্ন জাতি একে অপরের কাছাকাছি এসেছে এবং তারা একে অপরের সাথে যোগাযোগ করতে চায়। এই যোগাযোগের জন্য, একটি সাধারণ ভাষা আবশ্যক। আর সেই ভাষার অবস্থান পেয়েছে ইংরেজি। সারা বিশ্বের মানুষ যোগাযোগের মাধ্যম হিসেবে ইংরেজি ব্যবহার করে। তাই, সভ্যতার অগ্রগতির সাথে তাল মিলিয়ে চলতে এবং আন্তর্জাতিক সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখতে, প্রত্যেকেরই ইংরেজি শেখা উচিত। বর্তমানে অনেক প্রতিষ্ঠান এমন কর্মচারী চায় যাদের ইংরেজিতে ভালো জ্ঞান আছে। সুতরাং ভালো চাকরি পেতে হলে ইংরেজি জানা প্রয়োজন। আজকাল, অনেক লোক বিশ্বাস করে যে ইংরেজি তাদের একটি ভাল চাকরি এবং ভাল বেতন পেতে সাহায্য করবে। এছাড়া ইংরেজি না শিখে কেউ বিদেশে যেতে পারবে না। শুধু তাই নয়, উচ্চশিক্ষার অধিকাংশ বই ইংরেজিতে লেখা। তাই উচ্চশিক্ষা অর্জন করতে, ভালো চাকরি পেতে, এমনকি বিদেশে যেতে হলে ইংরেজি শেখা বাধ্যতামূলক। যাইহোক, প্রত্যেকেরই নিজের ভালোর জন্য ইংরেজি শেখা উচিত। আর ইংরেজি শেখার জন্য প্রথমে ইংরেজি ব্যাকরণ শিখতে হবে এবং ইংরেজি শব্দভান্ডার মুখস্থ করতে হবে। ব্যাকরণগত নিয়ম এবং শব্দভাণ্ডার না শিখে, কেউ সঠিকভাবে এবং সাবলীলভাবে ইংরেজি লিখতে এবং বলতে পারে না। এছাড়াও, ইংরেজি শেখার জন্য শ্রবণ, কথা বলা, পড়া এবং লেখার মতো যোগাযোগমূলক ইংরেজির চারটি দক্ষতাকে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া উচিত। সর্বোপরি, সকলেরই নিজেদের স্বার্থে ইংরেজি শেখার প্রতি গুরুত্ব দেওয়া উচিত।
