Once upon a time, there lived an old farmer in a village. He had three sons. The sons always quarreled with one another. The old farmer was very worried about their future.  The neighbors of the old farmer were also very annoyed with the quarrel of the three sons. One day, the old farmer called his three sons to settle the quarrel among them. He asked them to bring some sticks and a piece of rope. After the sons brought the sticks and the piece of rope, He told them to make a bundle by tying the sticks together with the rope. Then he called one of his sons to break the bundle. The son could not break the bundle. In this way, he asked his other two sons to break the bundle. But no one could break the bundle. Finally, he told them to open the bundle. After opening the bundle, he gave each of his sons a stick and asked them to break it. Then they broke the single stick easily. After breaking each stick easily, the old farmer said to his sons, "If you stay separate from one another and always quarrel, the enemies will defeat you easily. And, if you are stuck together like a bundle of sticks, you will be very strong, and no one will ever be able to harm you." On hearing this, the three sons learned a great lesson and from then on lived happily and peacefully together, stopping their quarrel.
