Right form of verb Part-3 তে আমি ৫টি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নিয়ম নিয়ে আলোচনা করছি। এই পার্ট থেকে প্রতি বছর SSC, HSC ও BCS পরীক্ষা সহ বিভিন্ন চাকরির পরীক্ষায় Right form of verb কমন থাকে। তাই এই পার্টের নিয়মগুলো গুরুত্ব দিয়ে পড়বে। চল তাহলে Right form of verb Part-3 এর নিয়মগুলো শেখা যাক।
Rule-11:
Modal auxiliaries যেমন: can, could,
shall, should, will, would, may, might, must, ought to, had better, had rather,
would better, would rather, need, let, dare, be to ইত্যাদির পরে ( ) Verb থাকলে ঐ ( ) Verb টি নিম্ন নিয়ম অনুযায়ী correction হয়।
i)
V1 (কে বা কারা দ্বারা
প্রশ্ন করে subject পাওয়া গেলে)
যেমন:
He
must —- (read) the book.
Ans:
read
ii)
be + V3 (কি বা
কাকে দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করে subject পাওয়া গেলে)
যেমন:
The
message can —- (send) .
Ans:
be sent
Rule-12:
Have, has, had, having, be, to be, being ও been এর পরে ( ) verb থাকলে উক্ত () verb টি V3 হয়।
যেমন:
i)
She has —- (perform) her duty.
Ans:
performed
ii)
He has —- (paint) the wall.
Ans:
painted
iii)
You had —- (post) the letter.
Ans:
posted
iv)
The sun having —- (set), we went home.
Ans:
set
v)
The picture has been —- (draw) by her.
Ans:
drawn.
vi)
The principal desired the notice to be —- (hang).
Ans:

Rule-13:
It is time/It is high time, fancy ও
wish এর পরে Subject থেকে ( ) verb থাকলে উক্ত ( ) verb টি V2 হয়। আর শুধুমাত্র wish এর পরে Subject থেকে ( ) এর মধ্যে be অথবা to be থাকলে উক্ত স্হানে were হয়।
যেমন:
i)
It is high time Akash —- (take) a good decision.
Ans:
took
ii)
I wish I —- (sing) a song.
Ans:
sang
iii)
I wish I —- (to be) a king.
Ans:
were
Rule-14: It is time, It
is high time এর পরে Subject না থেকে ( ) verb থাকলে উক্ত ( ) verb টি to+ V1 হয়।
যেমন:
i)
It is time —- (go) home.
Ans:
to go
ii)
It is high time —- (read) more.
Ans:
to read
Rule-15: দুটি Sentence এর মাঝে as though/as if
থাকলে নিম্ন নিয়ম অনুযায়ী verb Correction
করতে হয়।
a)
Present indefinite + as though/as if + V2/were.
যেমন:
i)
Ruma speaks as though she —- (know) everything.
Ans:
knew
ii)
Shamim talks as if he —- (to be) a leader.
Ans:
were
b)
V2 + as though/as if + had + V3
যেমন:
The
girl spoke as though she — (know) everything.
Ans:
had known.

Q.1: Modal এর পরে সবসময় কি V1 বসবে?
A: হ্যাঁ, সাধারণত Modal + V1 হয়।
যেমন:
can go, must read, should write।
তবে যদি Passive voice হয় তাহলে হবে: Modal + be + V3
যেমন: can be done,
must be completed।
Q.2: It is high time
এর পরে কখন V2 আর কখন to+V1 হবে?
A: যদি Subject থাকে তাহলে V2 হবে।
