Right form of verb rules
Rules: 21-25
Rule-21:
By এর পরে ( ) verb থাকলে
উক্ত ( ) Verb এর সাথে ing যোগ করতে হয়। আর By পূর্বে () Verb থাকলে উক্ত ( ) Verb টি
tense অনুযায়ী to be verb + v3
হয়।
যেমন:
i) By
.......... (study) regularly, she secured GPA–5.

.......... (practice) daily, he improved his English.
➤ Answer: practicing

The letter .......... (write) by Karim.
➤ Answer: was written
iv) The

Am/are/is/was/were এর পরে ( )
Verb থাকলে উক্ত ( )
Verb টি নিম্ন নিয়ম অনুযায়ী correction
হয়।
a) Verb
+ ing (কে বা কারা দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করে subject পাওয়া গেলে)
b) V3 (কি
বা কাকে দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করে subject পাওয়া গেলে)
যেমন:
i) Tania
is .......... (cook) rice.

➤ Answer: watching
iii)
The road was .......... (repair) last year.
➤ Answer: repaired

Rule-23:
Do not, does not ও did
not এর পরে ( ) Verb থাকলে
উক্ত ( ) Verb V1 হয়।
i) She
does not .......... (like) coffee.

➤ Answer: finish
iii) I
do not .......... (understand) the lesson.
➤ Answer: understand
Rule-24:
কোন Sentence এর প্রথমে would that থাকলে এবং Subject এর পরে () Verb থাকলে উক্ত ( ) Verb টি could + V1 হয়।
যেমন:
i) Would
that I .......... (meet) my friend!
➤ Answer: could meet
ii)
Would that he .......... (achieve) success!
➤ Answer: could achieve
Rule-25:
Lest এর পরে
Subject থেকে ( ) Verb থাকলে
উক্ত ( ) Verb টি should/might + V1 হয়।
যেমন:
i) He
ran fast lest he .......... (be) late.

ii) She
studies hard lest she .......... (lose) marks.
➤ Answer: should lose

প্রশ্ন: By এর পরে সবসময় কি V+ing হয়?
উত্তরঃ হ্যাঁ, যদি By এর পরে সরাসরি Verb থাকে তাহলে V+ing হবে। তবে Passive Sentence হলে to be verb + V3 হবে।
প্রশ্ন: Lest এর পরে কি সবসময় should বসবে?
উত্তরঃ সাধারণত should + V1 ব্যবহৃত হয়। তবে কখনো কখনো might + V1-ও হতে পারে।
