Food adulteration report writing for HSC
Staff Reporter, Khulna, January 19, 2026: Food adulteration is a serious problem in Bangladesh, especially in Dhaka city. It has become a great threat to our lives. It means mixing harmful and low-quality substances with food to make a profit. In Dhaka, many dishonest traders add chemicals, colors, and harmful substances to food items such as fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, milk, sweets, spices, and street foods. For example, fruits are ripened with harmful chemicals, fish and meat are preserved with formalin, and food colors are used in sweets and snacks. These adulterated foods cause many health problems, like food poisoning, diarrhea, stomach pain, skin diseases, kidney and liver damage, and cancer in the long run. Children and elderly people suffer the most from these effects. The main reasons behind food adulteration are a lack of morality, weak law enforcement, and poor public awareness. Although the government has made laws and mobile courts to stop food adulteration, the problem still exists. However, food adulteration can be reduced by strict enforcement of laws, regular inspection of food markets, and severe punishment for offenders. At the same time, people should be conscious, avoid unsafe food, and raise awareness. If the government and people work together, food adulteration can be controlled and stopped.
